![]() Middlesbrough Christmas season is here!Following on from the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge Centenary celebrations, the big Christmas switch on is set to light up Middlesbrough and officially kick-start a glittering festive season. The Christmas lights will be switched on in Middlesbrough town centre on Thursday, November 17. The fun starts at 5.30pm and everyone will be invited to shout out the countdown for the big switch on at 6.15pm. Also on Thursday enjoy Moving Frontiers at mima, An Audience with Sir Arnold Wolfendale FRS, 14th Astronomer Royal at Teesside University on the topic of Captain Cook, the Warsaw Philharmonic at Middlesbrough Town Hall. On Sunday, November 20 at 1pm the renowned Reindeer Parade and Community Carnival will delight children and adults as more than 400 children dressed in a panto theme take part. Children will have a chance to meet Santa's magical Cairngorm reindeer in Captain Cook Square immediately following the parade. By popular demand the Love Middlesbrough Christmas e-card is back!
